Official Statement: Investigation Continues into Alleged Reinstatement of 11 Interdicted SHS Heads – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken decisive action by interdicting several Senior High School (SHS) heads for their alleged involvement in the unauthorized collection of fees.

These SHS heads have been requested to step aside pending thorough investigations into the allegations. As of now, the GES has not disclosed the results of their investigation.

Contrary to reports circulating in various media outlets, the GES, in an official statement released today on Sunday, December 17, 2023, has categorically refuted claims of the reinstatement of the 11 interdicted heads. The GES emphasizes that investigations are still underway.

The official statement published on the GES official page reads:

”Investigations into the interdicted heads of Senior High Schools are currently ongoing. Kindly dismiss any false information regarding their reinstatement. Management assures all stakeholders and the public that the outcome of the investigations will be communicated to everyone upon completion.”

The GES is committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring that the public is duly informed about the developments surrounding this matter. Further updates will be provided once the investigations have been concluded.
