1. As it emanated from the GNAT National Council Meeting a few months ago, as Teacher Unions have a Rep. on the GES Council, *the next Aptitude Test for Promotion will be written in the 1st Quarter of 2024.*

2. Qualified applicants are those with *Notional Effective Date on or before 2020.*
3. Applicants who will utilize their *Master’s Degree/PhD* should have obtained such degrees *on or before 2019*
However, the Notional Effective Dates of the last promotion of such applicants *should be before the dates of obtaining such degrees.*
This clause is very technical. So let me further highlight it.
All applicants who wrote February/March Promotion Exams were those whose *Notional Effective Dates were on or before 2017* and *2018* respectively.
The Notional Effective Dates on their current promotion letter will be *01/09/21* and *01/09/22* respectively.
What the above suggests is that any of the applicants who wrote this year’s promotion exams may have just been scaled, and have a Master’s Degree/PhD that is even just *a day after their Notional Effective Dates I’ve mentioned above,
QUALIFY FOR THE UPCOMING APTITUDE TEST.

• The GES Aptitude Test for Promotion has now become *”Fittest of the survival”* as a result of the huge backlogs in the system, as well as the broad Course Outline.

• The most affected ranks are AD II and DD applicants.
