KNUST Withdraws Students Who Failed and Failed to Resit from the University

16th December 2023- The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has withdrawn students who failed to resit and those who failed two or more academic courses during the Resit Examination.

The decision was made earlier, at the 415th (Special) Meeting of the Academic Board.

According to the approved recommendation, students trailing more than two courses at the end of Supplementary Examinations are to be withdrawn and not allowed to repeat.

Those wishing to repeat must apply through their Head of Department to the Dean for permission to repeat the year instead of automatic repetition. The decision applies to students in composite degree programs as well, who need to seek permission from their respective Deans.

The directive is to be implemented accordingly, and affected students are advised to contact their Examination officer.

The decision was communicated through a letter dated July 31, 2023, signed by Margaret Dzisi (Mrs), Secretary, Academic Board/Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), and endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor.

Students with these tags in their portal should contact their Examination officer. KNUST AIM APPS PORTAL | STUDENTS
