NTC Indexing

The National Teaching Council (NTC) is indexing all the Trainee Teachers in the country. The indexing entails the collection of the details of all trainees in the Colleges of Education to generate specific codes for them to easily access the website of NTC.

NTC Indexing Portal | Verify Your Index number to Write GTLE

In this regard, the NTC shall send SMS messages through the mobile number provided by trainees to their colleges. The SMS bears their Name, Code and a link to the NTC website. Trainees are expected to open the link and fill in the necessary requirements as may be needed.

Candidates who are not indexed will not be allowed to sit for the examination for unlicensed teachers. From this year, NTC intends to implement the indexing fee of 50 Ghana cedis per student as approved by Parliament under fees and charges. Very soon, candidates who are not indexed will not be permitted to write the GTLE.

Also, a trainee who may not receive their messages or cannot pay at the bank should contact his/her college authorities to confirm whether their information has been sent to the NTC or contact their respective TTAG sector executives for further assistance.

HOW TO GET YOUR INDEXING NUMBER

Visit any Prudential Bank Branch nationwide and pay an amount of GHC50 as indexing fee.

After payment has been made successfully, you will receive an SMS which contains your indexing number. If you failed to receive the SMS, you can use the transaction number indicated on your payment receipt.
