From the training college, you must serve a minimum of 3-4 years before you go for promotion. each promotion also has pay check assigned to it.
It could also be that, you were recruited straight from the university, You would also have to serve 3 years before going for promotion and upgrading.
The promotion can be that, you went for further studies and you are back. The service may recognize it but you pay check and status may not match. Here is what to do
Write a letter to the Service, for them to upgrade you to your new qualified rank and its possible salary adjustment.
The letter must have a cover letter from your head of institution.
