Ghana National Standadised Test

The Ghana Education Service (GES) conducts National standardised tests aimed at assessing the academic performance of students across the country. These tests are designed to provide a standardized measure of students’ knowledge and skills in various subjects.

The national standardised test covers subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies. It is usually administered to students at specific grade levels, such as Basic 2, Basic 4, Basic 6…

The purpose of the National standardised test is to evaluate students’ understanding of the curriculum and their ability to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired. The results of these tests help identify areas where students may need additional support or intervention.

The GES uses the results of the national standardised test to monitor and improve the quality of education in Ghana. Schools and teachers can also use the test results to identify strengths and weaknesses in their instructional practices and make necessary adjustments.

Furthermore, the national standardised test results may also be used for academic placement and selection purposes. For example, students’ performance in the tests can determine their eligibility for certain educational programs or scholarships.
